So even if it didn't help to find the root move much earlier, it did in some positions help to improve the branching factor in sub-branches. I use the additional help of SEE to decide when to extend and the difference in speed between extending and not extending is not very noticable, however the difference in playing strength is not noticable at all either. Since it doesn't affect speed much, I just kept it. Regards, Koundinya
