Subject: Partition Magic/DOS operating system put on a laptop for chess programs

Hello, I was thinking of buying a laptop (compaq, AMD, for example), then
installing Partition Magic to put a DOS operating system (i.e., DOS 5.0) on to
run some of the classic chess programs like MCPRO8, HIARCS 7.0 and the REBEL DOS
programs?  Has anyone out there done this and /or do you think it would work.?
Presumably there are DOS drivers out there for the Mouse and CD ROM operations.
