The advantages are easy engine installation; a more informative analysis window; UCI protocol support; the movelist and maybe a few other items. I still prefer Winboard for eng-eng matches and probably for ICS access as well. Then there are the various tournament tools, which are dependant on WinBoard (WBTM and GalisWBTM). So I don't believe in transformation or succession, but rather as a supplement. Especially for the technically inept :-). Regards, Mogens
