However, I think that Arena will expand the number of users for the simple fact that engine installation is much easier. That'll benefit everyone IMHO. And like the Winboard 4.0.8+ (IIRC) by Mark Williams (IIRC), which introduced a few graphical enhancements, some of the Arena features might rub off on Winboard if they're deemed to be useful.
