I have had similar results where Deep Fritz (on a single processor) and Fritz 6 have been coming out ahead many times in engine tournaments.(Perm. Brain off of course) Fritz 7a does play some impressive games however. Check out the recent message Fritz 7 vs. Grandmaster Mark Hebden.
