If you wouldn't say it to someone else, why would you say it to him? Did you ever think maybe a person could change? What if he changed and felt bad for how he has acted in the past? This wouldn't be such a nice thing to say then. Did you ever think maybe these kinds of comments encourage the continuation of the kind of behavior that you, and others, apparently find less than optimal?
