Go up one level in this thread

BTW Windows has a search feature to find files quite rapidly.

Go to stat>seach>files/directories and fill in ert.exe. Now set the search scope
to "local fixed drives" and it will search for the bugger - and no doubt find
it. If you can start it, it is on one of your local drives.

BTW2 and exe-file is an executable. An ico-file is an icon. All you have to
unpack is the ert.exe from the zip-file into your gandalf directory and
everything will work as planned.

If it doesn't - an alternative way for the above, check the location of the old
ert.exe by opening the start menu, the Gandalf group, and right click on the
Engine Research Tool link. Now click on properties and a wealth of information
about it pops up.

If you have problems finding and using the standard features of Windows - which
is quite understandable, as there are so many- try something weird: hit F1 and
search the Windows help files. You would be surprised what you can find there
(and -yes sir- can't :)).

Good luck!

J.
