Even Fritz 5 one of the fastest searchers would need about 1000 MHZ P II to hit
1 000 000 nps most of the time. a 500 to 600 P II would hit 1 000 000 nps in
some endgame position with Fritz 5. We are 2 to 4 years away from that kind of
speed for the Intels. The Alphas will be there sooner.
