Well, imho, my Mephisto Miami (1997-ish - Frans Morsch) and Mephisto Exclusive MMIV (1988 - Ed) both give me a tougher game than the Turquoise program. Ed's program had the same memory on much slower hardware, and Frans's program had half the memory on slower hardware. I think Eric Hallsworth puts the Amber (same as Turquoise) program at ELO 1999, but I feel Eric's ratings, at least for dedicated machines, sometimes seem a little high in comparison with SSDF ratings and my own assessment of the machines. The Turquoise sure doesn't feel like a 2000 player to me, even though it is better than me. But I'm probably a little biased, as I've never really been a huge fan of Novag.
