If you look at the comments in main.c, you will find I used it for quite a
while.  But I decided that it simply was too expensive (in terms of tree
size.)  I haven't used it in 4-5 years and don't plan to do so again.   I
have the code saved, and have played with it a couple of times since I took
it out, but that is all...
