That losing of 1Mb seems to be a bug I experienced as well. You can check it by clicking on the engine and making a check if the GUI really drop one Mb, then reset it. AFAIK Fritz uses all the HT there is; some engines are more happy with HT's being a power of two, so not an even number, but 2,4,8,16,32,64,128,256 -hold it, hold it, we all can do the math.....:) J.
