I'm using neither of them for analysis.
I use Chessmaster for playing games with it.

I use to start with one in the 1500 range and play two game, one white and one
black, if I win the match I proceed to the next personality. Most often this is
15 min. games.

For Fritz I only have the demo version, and my use is to unpack E-book I buy.
This usually comes in ChessBase archive format (.cbv). When this is unpacked to
.cbh++ files I enter ChessAssistant to read the books (games) there.

I normaly don't analyze my own game with any engine in one run.
I first analyze it with only my pure brain and make more attention to write what
I thought under the game and what came up under the analysis together with my
opponent after the game.
As a last thing I go through the game/analysis with an engine acting like GM
sitting behind my back an giving comment.

I'm more often use engines to analyze openings to find out why this and that is
played.
Like this position where both Adams and Karpov playes Bxg5 and give a way the
bishop pair instead of weaken the kingside with g6 (this bothered me last night
when I tried to prepare for the CCT4).
[D]r3rnk1/ppqb1ppp/4pb2/6N1/2P5/3Q4/PPB2PPP/R1BR2K1 b - - 0 1
I also use engines to find good answer when my opponent get out of book so.

The program (GUI) I use is Chess Assistant and this has a better method to add
and view your own and engines comment If you want to take a look at it later
(better than CM I don't know about Fritz).
There is also a analyse function in this program to let an engine go back and
forth when analyzing a position so that you don't get a PV-line with some
doubtful moves at the end. But instead every move in the line is analyzed to the
desired depth. I sometimes set it on a position to analyze with this function
when I manage to tear myself away from PC at night for to go to bed.
It is on this analysis function that I missing that TheKing clear it's hash
between moves.
Hopefully the next version don't do this (are you listening Merlino :) ).

When I do analysis hole games this is mainly with a blundercheck function for
searching for tacticks/combinations etc. The game is mostly from local
tournaments with different players. This is for adding diagrams to either a
bulletin or for a web-page that covers the tournament.

I do this for testing my own engine mainly but I use Winboard as GUI for this.

I let the helping pass over to one that use Fritz.
