Greetings

I have posed this question to myself, and tried some alternatives. I have been
using all default (0) but Contempt Value=20 (not aways, just when I really
believe the opponet is weaker), open files=4 and king safety=1 or 2. However
this came as an informed friend's opinion; I do not have any evidence that these
settings are better than the defaut settings.

I should comment that changing the value settings may provoke a heartquake on
Fritz 7 game evaluation. Try to set every piece value (to the computer and to
the opponent) = 100 and play an engine match; you will see a total wrecking
between Fritz 7 vision of the ongoing game and the other engine vision. To a
point that I lost a game with black which was being evaluated as -+(-6.4), while
the opponent's program was showing +-(2.5) all the way.

So I suggest you to handle these parameter with great care, and would appreciate
suggestions as well.

Regards,

Karen
