Subject: OT: Best monochrome Palm OS unit

This (Sony) is a new model with 16 MB RAM, a jog dial, Memory Stick slot, 33 MHz
CPU (still the fastest currently available, alas), 320x320 resolution (quadruple
the number of pixels of competitors), enhanced IR with universal remote control
software, enhanced sound compared to other Palm units.  And it's US$200, which
is quite low even compared to units with 1/2 the memory and 1/4 the resolution.

For those considering a Palm OS device for computer chess (there are several
good programs, including Chess Tiger and Chess Genius for Palm), and looking for
the most bang for the buck, in my opinion, this is the new leader if you're
buying new rather than used.
