Does all of this mean that in about 10 years we would be able to purchase of-the-shelf computers that can perform as well, even out-perform, Deep Blue (200M nodes a sec.)? if it happens ... This would spell the end of chess as an art. Kill the mistery of it. The main reason for chess tournaments would be to see who sucks-less. :-) There will be no reason to search for a great chess player (human). hristo
