I'm trying to work out how good it is against the other more obvious move, Rh1. Personally, I think it is at least as good as Rh1, if not better (that's why I played it at the time!) although the dividends aren't really seen until the endgame. When it comes to using Deep Fritz (Athlon 1900+ 128MB RAM), it doesn't see the possibility for a long, long time. If I make it analyse the position from Nxd5, it likes it much more quickly and by quite a bit after about 18 ply. Does anyone's engine see Nxd5 reasonably quickly and what do they think of it when Nxd5 is played? Many thanks Matthew
