But the programs DO take that into account when they say how many pawns ahead
you are.  That's why you can be ahead several pawns on the board but be under
severe attack and the program will say you are behind/losing.

The program is essentially ALREADY telling you the chance of winning (its best
estimation, of course), just using a different scale or language.
