The ivanov game always impressed me, white didn't do anything special to win yet
it is way beyond the speed of current computers.
Perfect example why Commercial Programs may not play better than Deep Thought,
atleast not yet. Chess Tiger Can get a fantastic rating against an average
opponent of 2497 but would this continue if it played 14 Games ? 22 or 29?
Probably not. What would be nice to see is various programs throughout the years
compete from Kaissia to Deep Thought against Commercials in a Round Robin
Tournament but the drawback is that the speed differences should be equal. That
could be a little difficult Deep Thought at one point searched 2.160.000nodes
per sec Fritz on my 1Ghz looks somewhere in the vicinity of 520K give or take a
few so who would come up with the bill for an 8-way 700Mhz oops yet another
problem.....

I think Commercials are stronger than anything prior to 1985
Definately Bebe and Hitech
