yep that was in the past; with all existing Winboard engines
i didnt see any need to make an engine myself; however
since about half a year ago i started to make something simple,
after having looked at programs like TSCP, MSCP, etc. (no need
to 're-invent the weel' concerning board representations etc.).
Like i said, its made just for fun; my interests remain in
the field of chess openings, and not in engines. But having
been motivated recently by Bas Hamstra and sherifk i decided
to join the tourn; ofcourse Volker checked that this simple
program isnt a clone and i have sent him again a recent
executable as well as the sourcecode; if i would use a clone
(eg Goliath or so), i would say so.
Vincent's accusation is simply discrediting my integrity
and such an attack indeed seems to be personal and way out
of line with any civilized norms concerning some sort of
basic respect for other persons. As far as i'm concerned i
think it would be fair to ban Vincent from CCC and ICC just
to protect other people who like me can become a victim
of his psychopathic attitude,
best regards,
jefk
