Donskoy ported Kaissa to PC (I believe it was rewritten in C, but I am not sure,
as I talked with him more than 10 yesrs ago). In 1991 there was first (and last)
Soviet Computer Chess Championship; Donskoy came there, was unhappy with the
rules, prizes, etc., and went away. I think the real resaon was that he had
nothing to gain in this amateurish event, but something to lose.

I just made quick Internet search, and it looks that he went into business. Look
at www.disco.ru. According to http://www.disco.ru/english/company/

"1988 — The software developers group that is now the backbone of DISCo, was
organized by Misha Donskoy for developing an IBM PC version of the KAISSA chess
program (whose mainframe version was the First World Computer Chess Champion in
1974). This program took 4-th place in London's Computer Olympiad in 1990."
