Note that both of these would have about 0 >pawn value. I think you are now forgetting something: how on earth can we know these percentages for sure??? That would mean solving chess, which is still quite far away. And now, with pawn values, we are allready doing the same thing: if we reach 3-fold rep, or 50-move rep position, we can return (well, my engine doesn't, but most do ;). And if a position is 99% draw, I'd like to search deeper, that's for sure... Again, pawn values are doing just fine! Converting those to another scale doesn't change a thing, in engine's point of view. Severi
