Is it possible that you set the hash tables too high for your system and that the engine starts to swap to the hard disk very long? Depending on your physical ram, try to adjust hash table settings. Satrt with 8Mb for a 5,0 blitz game and see if things improve. Maybe this helps. BTW don't forget to update Fritz 7 by logging in to the chessbase playchess server (as a guest suffices) J.
