Yeah, if you're interested in watching the CCT4 games here's what to do: 1. Go to http://www.chessclub.com and download their client program, called BlitzIn.** 2. Start up blitzin and press the "Connect as guest" button. You will now be connected to the chess server. 3. Enter "+ch 64" in the main console window. This will add channel 64 to the messages you are seeing. On ICC channel 64 is the computer chess programming channel and where most of the traffic for CCT4 will be. 4. The pairings etc... will be announced in 64. To watch one or more games simply type "ob (accountname)". Ob for Observe. Other useful commands to know are "whisper", "tell", "kibitz" etc. Learn more by typing "help (command)" in the main console window. Pairings and standings will be on the web at http://www.vrichey.de, I think. Can anyone confirm this? There are details on that site about when the rounds will be held and what programs are involved now. Hope to see interested spectators this weekend. ** = You can also use Win/Xboard to connect to ICC. The site is chessclub.com. xboard -ics -icshost chessclub.com or something. See Win/Xboard options for more details. Scott
