The Star Diamond can have its opening book altered and its searching changed.

From their website: Vary the style of play by selecting active or passive
opening book, selective or full width search, with or without extensions

I assume that the Star Sapphire does not have these capabilities?

Novag suggests these computers are 2500 USCF. Subtracting 180 from this number
to bring it into comparison with the SSDF ratings we get, rounded, 2300. Yet I
seem to recall the SapphireI and SapphireII only scoring about 2050 or so. I
have heard that SSDF once removed 100 points from the list, so perhaps the
rating for the previous Sapphire's are about 2150.

Anyway, what do people think about this computers ability to achieve 2300 SSDF?

Also, let's talk Palms. With an overclocked m505 Palm (normal MHz I think is
33, and overclocked about 50), running the RebelTiger program, what rating does
this achieve? (or has there been no systematic testing yet?) If there has been
no such testing yet, what does your intuition tell you, which one would you
rather have?
