In Swiss you 'seed' the participants, ie, you list them in order
of rating. The top half plays the bottom half. In subsequent rounds
the winners play the winners and the losers play the losers of the
previous round. You just have to be mindful of which program gets
white when they are both due for white.
It increases the chance of the stronger ones meeting in the later
rounds, just like in a tennis tourney. You will still get the
occasional upset, eg, Ferret lost it's second round, but that's chess.
