Kasparov used Fritz 5. It was Topalov who used CB7 with Fritz5's engine.

CB7 is much faster than CB6 in managing and searching databases. On a PII/300,
F5 searches at about 280K NPS within CB7, and Crafty 14.12 at about 140K.
