The fianchetto-problem is that Rebel sometimes after in example g3 plays Bishop to c4 in the next move and very often exchanges the fianchetto-bishop in example for a knight and double-pawn for the opponent, resulting in a weak position for the king. Rebels patent-move f2-f4 is also very riscy if played together with g3, I have often seen the opponent successfully infiltrate Rebels position after this move. There is also one slight weakness in the opening if (very seldom) Rebel is early out of book. In example in queen-pawn games Rebel like to play the bishop to c3(c6) instead of d2 (d7) and/or pawn to c4 (c5). The best side of Rebel is the very active play and from version Century4 excellent tactics. If I play it myself the problems often starts already after 15-20 moves but against less active programs I often survives 30-40 moves. Bertil >Regards >Tina Long
