Actually, it makes perfect sense. Data's probably seeing all moves as
0 and so Troy could simply trade down into a pawn endgame. Then she
zugzwanged him. (He was using nullmove pruning)

Or perhaps chess is a forced loss for black. If she played white,
he would make bogus moves as everything loses anyway. So she beat
him.
