Uninstalled all Chessbase products. Removed _any_ registry values and left over directories. 2. I installed Fritz 6 again, installed the latest service pack. (also tried without this). 3. Switched to the Fritz 7 engine, it asks for the cd. I inserted the cd into my top rom. That is the one that I install everything from. 4. I get the same error that it is not the right cd. So I tried all the cdroms in my computer. Same problem. I have this problem as well when I try to switch to any Chessbase product in the Fritz 6 program. I uninstalled Fritz, and installed Junior 7. Repeated the same steps as above, and it accepted the engine without problem for the first time I used it. After than though it will not use it. I do not know what the problem is but it is getting to me. I have none of these problems with the Rebel software. Kevin. Also note this happens on both my computers. It is not system specific.
