I told him the Athlon was much faster but these were the results he gave me! I questioned him about his son's machine, whether it had the right components, and he said yes and that his son researched before he purchased the AMD machine. I'm sorry I can't do the test myself, it really shocked me as it made little sense to me! I use an _old_ P-3 (Katima)sp? 500Mhz IBM Aptiva with 128MB of 100Mgh SDRAM and get a Fritzmark of 324, so I guessed the Athlon at 1.4Ghz should be at least 3x faster! I agree something must be wrong with his son's AMD machine, but he replied that his son's machine was the best he could get at the time. It's puzzling! Thanks for your reply! Terry
