The AMD is not tweaked correctly, I get a fritzmark of 685 on my old thunderbird
1060 MHz, don't tell me a 1.4 GHz is slower! ;)
Did he perhaps have a virusscanner or something running in the background?

The P4 has a more realistic result, it's the AMD you should be taking another
look at.
