They simply put up loads of rumours to get less support for winboard.
When those are effective, consider winboard support gone in next
version.

Simple business math can do the job here.

add to that, that uci is a free protocol, though it only works under
windows, which might be seen as quite a big disadvantage (dynamic
dialog boxes under linux i still have to see someone to get to work)
