Extra------options-----click advanced and check the path to your tablebase directory is correct. Load the pgn or the position. Click game------analysis mode. I may have moved the king to h8 during the game on Gandalf I don't recall. But Gandalf 5 shows mate in 8 after a couple of minutes with the king on h8, although I'm not sure it needs tablebases to see it. Sarah.
