But it is not difficult to understand an aspiring chess programmer's ambition to test his progress against the best commercial engines. Especially without knowing the history. BTW, could one imagine that the Chessbase people would create a Crafty UCI engine from the available source code? Much in the same manner as the current native version. Secondly, I feel obligated :-) to bug you about the lack of an 18.13 executable at your ftpsite. Or is there a chance of adjustments being made after the CCT4 tournament is over? Regards, Mogens
