I don't think that if people are drunk or not should be an issue at all but that
wasn't your point anyway if I understood you right.

What is moderators for really?
Isn't it to keep the discussions here to some decent level?
What's decent is up to the society and in this case CCC is the society. It is of
cource not very easy for a moderator to fully comply to the majority of the CCC
society.
My opinion is that moderators never should hide anything from rest of the group.
The best solution would be to save all censored posts in an open archive.
If I suspected you for some reason:
 personal
 business
 religous
 whatever
I could look in that archive to see if that's the case.
To clearify my standpoint here, I dont suspect you or the others at all but the
open possibility to look in the censored archive should be enogh for me. I would
probably never look there...

Most people here have the integrity to handle this stuff and the ones who refers
to that material or use it in any abusive way should be warned and eventually
'kicked out'
