Nah...history's judgment of Ponomariov depends on his future performance. Apparently, getting the world championship is consistent with the arc of the kid's talent. If he goes on to become another Kramnik and Kasparov, then history will record that he's a great chess genius. If he just kind of remains at his pretournament level, then it's a fluke. Roger
