Thank for the useful advice on the Fritz 7 Upgrade.
I downloaded the upgrade a 2nd time and installed it with the program closed.
The Help>About Fritz 7 window now reads January 22 2002 instead of November 22.

I also removed the upgraded 7006 engine from last night and put back a copy of
the Fritz 7 7002. Last night I received the Fritz 7 7006 engine but the
interface did not get the upgrade. The New Fritz 7 engine stayed in the Fritz 7
folder after last nights upgrade. I had to manually copy and paste the upgraded
engine from there into my engine folder.
I then Downloaded the Fritz 7 Upgrade and went thru the entire process again.
After the Download, I shut down the Fritz 7 program. I then clicked onto OK in
the UPGRADE NOW dialogue box and the upgrade went thru without a hitch.

The Fritz 7 engine now reads 7006 after clicking the version tab in properties,
which it did do last night. The Help>About Fritz 7 now reads Jahuary 22 2002
which it did not do last night.
Either shutting down the program and then installing the downloaded upgrade, or
just the fact that the First Download was corrupted and the Second one was fine,
may have had something to do with the fixing the problem I had.
Thanks again for the advice.

Much appreciated. It seems that a few out there are having problems.
