Doesn't it happen by chance that you have asked Fritz to manually learn from your autosave.cbh? Or that this same book may have been used by other CB interface that not Fritz 7 GUI? If it is no bother, make please a test. Press F4; in the opening book config window, set minimum games = 1. It means Fritz should learn from every game played. Then chose a weird first move that was never cogitated or played by you - normally a3 or g3 or e3 and it will be weighed 0 (zero) Play a couple of games forcing these first moves and see if the book shows any changes after your initial glance.
