What GCC did you use. some gcc versions are dead slow, like 2.91.66.

Perhaps you need to rewrite some code if intel C is much faster for you,
not using enough local variables for example, not doing everything
in arrays. Too small code.

Also that intel C doesn't crash for you means simply put that you
have no difficult datastructures.

All selfdefined datatypes that are 2d or more it crashes on here if
i have loops through them :)
