Hi, A few moments ago Van Wely suffered another painful defeat in the Corus A-group. To the astonishment of many, he repeated the variation Bareev played against Khalifman yesterday. Bareev was crushed in 20 moves, so everybody was wondering what Van Wely was trying to prove. Well, the answer was very clear: A new move by Van Wely, but no improvement whatsoever, leading to a quick mate and resignation after 19 moves. Poor Loek.... Jeroen
