Not that this really >detracts from your point. Not in programming languages,they don't. They just relabel the cover of the document. With C89 (for instance)they did renumber the paragraphs. But with C99 nothing changes at all. Having different standards is a bad thing, when there are differences between ANSI and ISO. But differing standards is better than no standard at all.
