Results games round 36:
- Shredder6 vs Fritz7002 = 1/2
- Junior7 vs TheKing312X = 1-0
- Hiarcs732 vs ChessTiger14 = 1/2
The game between Shredder6 and Fritz7002 never exceeded the path of draw.
Responsible for that was in particular the symmetrical pawn structure.
Junior7 as White took my advice of the last round very seriously. He won his
game against TheKing312X, who was left with a double pawn on the queenside. And
Junior7 seized the chance for a pawn storm on the kingside with his pawn
majority. It was amazing to see that Black was absolutely helpless to do
anything against this plan.
The Sicilian Defence is a complicated opening. And if two programs like
Hiarcs732 and ChessTiger14 have the will to win, it is obvious that the fight
will be a fascinating one. The situation became clear only after Black's 40th
move, when ChessTiger14 was a rook ahead. But Hiarcs732 managed to reach a draw
by perpetual check.
