I think the 11 rounds was good although it does take a big commitment in time
and energy. Perhaps we should alternate between a single weekend and two
weekends?

I am very keen on this as it removes a whole bunch of problems. Once you have
everyone automatic, you don't have to worry about operator errors for a start.

And who cares if 2 programs decide to play out KR vs KR ? Its all automatic so
sit back and enjoy it! Much better than the alternative of having fuzzy rules
for when operators can offer a draw or resign.

Another related rule should be that a move on the board stands: no take-backs
because your interface didn't correctly relay the move from your engine.

If making automatic play compulsory means some commercial programs can't play,
then so be it. I'd rather they go automatic and play, but if they don't want to
thats their choice.

Not sure about this one, since it doesn't actually prove much. You could easily
fake it. I think there is an argument for it for entertainment value though -
it makes it much more interesting for the spectators.

Probably unlikely.
But if it were to happen, there should be a refund if you complete all your
games.

I think that every time you disconnect you should have to give an extra 5
minutes to your opponent (using moretime command).

Interesting suggestions Will.

Great tournament, thanks again to the organisers.
