Crafty has been my, one of the favourites, and still is.
But the fact is (also taking in to account that it is not a professional
program) that it is still reasobaly beyond the top five chess programs.

Chesstiger 14 is supersedded by Fritz7.006 fair and square. And perhaps Fritz7
will be by chesstiger 15. But the reality is when these commercial programs
jumps from one version to another, it gets atleast 50 points better than the
previous version, which is not true for most amatuer programs. Crafty is not
professional and yet it's not right to call it amatuer either, whatever it is,
it is not in par with the top programs, or close to it at this moment.

crafty is like a playing field of ideas, a lot of experiment is done with it,
and thats what I like about it.
