In certain matters, be them commercial or simply life matters, there seems to be
no alternativ to personal moral sensibility. There are a number of ways by which
people may get access to paid software, yet do not paying for the software.
Developers are somehow helpless against this.

Now Fritz 7 engine is already built in on the service pack file, as it was in
the GUI7 files and extant, distributed CDs of other CB interfaces will welcome
it to run. This cannot be fixed. Does it make those consummers who's paid for
the same engine feel kinda uneasy? Yes. Was that intentional by CB team? I don't
know but it seems to me as a good faith bias. Does it hurt CB budget? I don't
think so. Those who trade off free engines or patches very likely would never be
regular custommers. Is it fine advertisement? Yes, it is and it is for free...
to CB! The broadcasting of this engine may create an adidional demand much
bigger than that represented by the folks who will not buy the full pack after
getting the engine for free. Are the later cheating? No, the apple is being
given to them from the appletree, then just grab it in a "why not" mood.

I personally would not be satisfied in having the engine only and I believe many
people would feel and act the same way. I think the interface is cool and for
technical reasons I want to have the entire CB library and the entire Fritz
family/friends at my university and wanna pay for that.

Or, there is nothing but a personal morals to help us on that.

Karen
