This shows the strength of the Usenet way of moderating groups: all messages are
mailed to the moderator(s) and do not appear on the group until the moderator
has approved them. So inappropriate messages don't sit on the group for a
while, get people upset, and generate a string of angry replies before they are
removed. And there are few controversies about the messages that don't appear,
because no one knows they ever existed but the poster and the moderator(s). As
always, people who disagree with the moderators' policies are free to post their
views in other, unmoderated forums.
