I also had 512 mb ram. www.overclockers.com, under forums, and operating systems, has several interesting links where you can find assorted tweaks for ME. Unfortunately, ME is an overbloated fetid OS; it is begging to be put out of it's misery. My advice is to upgrade to Windows XP Professional. It is a wonderful system; lean and mean. Good luck.
