I believe many programmers doen't see what they have done with their programs in the last years It is positional play wich made it able to make their program play tacticly better. I also know have 1 game of one of my personaletys of Rebel Who won by using strong fields in the corect way Tactics popup by themselves then. Or in other words waiting for a better time to recapture in a better position Or the rule the threath is stronger the the executuion of the threath. Lowering the threath of capture for instance did do the trick here. Not to mention that many programmers use nulmove ordering now. both are improvements of positional and not tactical play. Saying that there are GM's who say that you can sin against every chess rule aslong as it is well calculated will never stand a change against the curent top because they already can say how to counter against these violations of these rules Most of the time by violating against the same rule. If in the Kings Indian for instance White weakens his already weakened kingside And you can't take advantage of it with the kingside atack you can atack the centre with moves like c6 weakening the already weaken queen side! Some one asked did Tal calculate al the sacrefices he made No he did not Tal also made like Vucocich called it real sacrefices Sacrefices with a risk! I think there is a point in what Amir said I think programs can be improved of better understanding of what is a slide or clear advantage. unclear or equal position. For Amir counts that Junior7 is too pesimistic in going to an endgame till he reached that endgame. Regards Marc van Hal
