A long time ago, I noticed that some programs did not calculate a new move each time that they played, they just played the predicted move from their pv's. That is if the pv predicted their opponents move then they just moved their pv's answer to that move from their own pv. I do not know if this is a good way to go or not as I noticed that my own pv's sometimes would change even if my opponent choose the predicted move that my program had expected. Question is: Does anyone use this kind of logic and if so is it any good? Or has any one used this kind of logic and then abandoned it? I know that it can speed up the game and save your programs time, but is it worth it. Thanks Bill
