I recommend you to, Grandmaster Michael Rohde & wife Sophia.  Between them they
have many years of chess teaching experience, both in private & public school
chess teaching.  You can reach them at: http://www.chesswise.com/  Also, if the
price is not right for you, they can direct you to a person or program that you
should be able to afford.

I also recommend chess book store owner, Fred Wilson (80 East 11th St., Suite
334 - phone, (212)533-6381), the author of 'A picture History of Chess', and
also, '101 Questions On How To Play Chess'.  If Fred isn't available to teach
you, then I'm sure he can supply you with any kind of chess book you may need to
improve your game!
